Join this session for tips on how to use your camera settings to creatively capture nature in a visually interesting way. We will be looking at composition, focus, and colour.

Many professional offices and places of business have large prints gracing their wall space of things such as fields of flowers, a butterfly perched on a leaf, and a single dew drop on a rose petal. These beautiful images are all around us in nature. It just takes that special "eye" to not only see it but to capture it in a way that will turn that simple little piece of nature into a beautiful piece of art. We will learn how to use different angles, light and shadows, and settings to make subjects pop.

Chanel Glenn
I am an outgoing and personable artist with a passion for creativity and teaching! A native of Cleveland, OH, a self-artist and a single mother, I relocated to Atlanta, GA in 2019 to continue my career as a TV producer, then shifting to a full-time artist at the end of 2021. Drawing has been my first love since childhood, cartoons are the foundation of my creative expression – I absolutely LOVE them! Shortly after having my son, I became a professional artist by drawing and selling chalk portraits. Eventually, my best friend asked me to try a paint party, and that was the beginning of my career as an instructor.

Today, I use learned-skills and my own expertise to teach simple art techniques in the realms of drawing and painting. I really enjoy building confidence in people and teaching them to enjoy the freedom of creativity. My services include drawing & painting commission portraits, cartoons and murals, LIVE painting at events, and hosting and instructing paint & sip events of all ages.

Thanks to the support of family, friends, and community, I have hosted over 300+ paint parties in 9 years, created over 100 art commissions, and have art collectors in 13 states across the country from Alaska to Hawaii.

Chanel Glenn is available for private bookings

Available for private lessons, portraits, murals, LIVE paintings at weddings and other events, and MOBILE paint parties

I focus on using natural materials to create work that helps viewers see nature in new and exciting ways. My goal is to use art to educate the public about environmental issues and inspire action to help preserve and protect our world's wild spaces! This piece of a rabbit was created by crushing flowers onto paper with a hammer to release the pigments within the plant. Once they dried, painted my rabbit friend on top with watercolor.

These are the stairs to the dog park in Piedmont Park. I walk my son's dog there every day. It of significance to me because my daughter in law, Amy St Pierre was killed in a mass shooting incident last year at Northside hospital. Millie was her dog and she used to walk her there every day. I have taken up the duties since her death. It is a remembrance of her.

Title or Location: Chambord Staircase
This was painted while I was in Architecture school and is a design of Leonardo daVinci's in the 1500s featuring a double helix design. The wringing action of the staircase and stonework while encapsulated within the stone walls gave me the feeling of stretching and a divine beauty, such as a plant will grow within a terrarium and stretch towards the sun despite all odds. The stairs themselves unfurl from the vine as petals. The details within the stone questions the hardness of the material- su

Oils on 56cm x 46cm canvas. Large for me!A larger canvas really does provide a wonderful opportunity to dive into the textures and subtleties of the lion cub's fur, and those expressive little details?like the way its eyes catch the light. Oils allows you to layer and blend, giving more depth and ability to play with the softness of the fur.

Winter?s grip on the Straits of Mackinac slowly melts away with each passing day of warm sunshine.
