    Ada Sapir
Hi, my name is Ada and I've been a bit of a gypsy my whole life. I was born in Argentina and grew up in Israel, before a 34-year journey brought me to the U.S.
I lived in New York and Florida for years, and now for the past five years, Atlanta has been home so I can be close to my grandkids.
My hands have always been busy.
Over the years, I've explored all kinds of crafts, but about 20 years ago, I discovered my true passion: Quilling.
There's something so rewarding about taking simple strips of paper and turning them into unique 3D pieces of art.
I would be honored to pass on my knowledge and get you started in this new world of expression.

Title or Location: Machine Gun Kelly
MGK?s music is filled with the contrasts of angsty punk rock with introspective lyrics, where he pours out his heart. This theme of duality is captured in his use of warm, fun-loving pink, juxtaposed by his intimidating and hardened exterior. I created this portrait as a reminder that we are multidimensional as humans and need to allow ourselves to be walking contradictions. Strong emotional. Experts beginners. Structured Free spirited.

I have lived just a few miles from Macon. GA for 60 years. Macon was the starting point of the Allman Brothers Band. Having them almost as neighbors was influential to having a love for southern rock. I chose to draw Gregg as the older, sober Gregg. Older faces offer richer detail, texture, depth and emotion. His older face also reflects weight of experiences, decades of music, struggles, loss, addictions and survival of a group. Along with a legacy of southern rock he carried within him

I wanted this painting to be quiet and restrained, focused on gesture rather than narrative. The light and color support the emotional center, offering a moment of responsibility and asking the viewer to pause and witness.

He's drawn in a mix of faber castel polychromos, caran d'ache luminance and some derwent drawing pencils.

I loved this photograph from John Strachan photography and finally got around to painting it in acrylic. I tried to be quite loose with the painting as there was so much detail. in the end I thought the sky looked a bit bare so with the help of Chat GPT I added seagulls to the photo and was then able to paint them into my art work. This painting will be heading for the Aberdeen art show the end of August for sale.
